Here you’ll find information about my background
September 9, 2000
My birthplace is near Milan, Italy, and my family’s Romanian heritage is an equally important part of who I am.
2019 – 2022
I am backed by a Bachelor degree in Languages with a focus on Linguistics obtained by Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, and memorable Erasmus experiences in Luxembourg (2021) and Germany (2022).
2021 – 2022
During my Erasmus+ Traineeship in Hamburg, Germany, I had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the translation industry. I took on my first role in translation project management, working closely with professional translators and mentors. I also gained daily experience using CAT tools, managing translation memories (TMs), and performing translation management system work.
2022 – 2024
My academic life has led me to additional specializations that enrich my work. At the University of Bologna and Kaunas University in Lithuania, I specialized in East European and post-Soviet affairs, completing my Master focusing on the political, economic, and social transformations of Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia.
This academic background allows me to offer unique expertise not only in language, but also in social, political, economic, and international sectors. It enables me to support a wide variety of projects, combining translation with expert insight into current and past regional issues.
2023 – 2024
While still in Italy, I developed my technical skills through one of the projects that shaped the translator I am today. I had the opportunity to work closely with a professor from my Alma Mater, assisting in the translation and adaptation of academic content for the Master course in Mechanical Engineering for Sustainability. Based in the Aerospace Engineering Department, this project allowed me to translate content precisely in the engineering sector.
I have worked across several countries in Europe. My professional experience has been shaped largely by the time spent working in Germany and Lithuania, where I gained valuable insights into diverse work environments and taught Italian to international groups. Moreover, I work remotely for subtitling projects in Spain, further broadening my international experience.
My work spans diverse sectors, from technical translation to multimedia and social sciences.
I work with the following language pairs:
Spanish, German , English > Italian, Romanian
