Many companies request a portfolio to evaluate the quality and range of a translator’s expertise.
Due to the confidential and sensitive nature of the work I handle, my portfolio represents a modest but diverse range of work that I am proud of.
Every translator starts with smaller projects and gradually builds a body of work.
As I continue to grow in my career, I am committed to expanding and upgrading this portfolio whenever possible.

Flight Crew Licensing & Continuing Airworthiness in Europe (EASA)
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) periodically updates its sets of regulations to ensure the safety, competence, and ongoing compliance of flight crew and aircraft maintenance. Find out how I adapted their publicly available leaflet for their stand at APATS 2018, which involved translating, adapting numerous acronyms and technical terms, as well as often adjusting the format to accommodate the longer Italian version.

Physical-Mathematical
Models for Industrial Engineering
Find out how I translated and adapted academic materials for a Master’s course in Mechanical Engineering for Sustainability by looking at some selected extracts. This challenging project wouldn’t have been possible without the help and competence of the course professor, with whom I worked closely and debated every page adaptation, layout change, the conversion from handwritten to typed text and formulas, and terminology choice. The entire project aimed to make the English adaptation as smooth and understandable as possible for students of all nationalities, without compromising precision.

American Primeval
I was involved in the full SDH QA subtitling process for American Primeval, a Netflix series, collaborating with Deluxe Inc. My primary role focused on the SDH QA of Italian subtitles, ensuring accuracy in timing, readability, and adherence to Netflix standards. Additionally, I managed all on-screen and off-screen text (OST), including burned-in elements, principal photography text, and the precise positioning of captions. A particularly fascinating aspect of this project was adapting dialogue in Shoshone and other Native American languages, carefully refining forced narratives (FN) to ensure clarity for all viewers. The series is already available on Netflix, and the subtitles will be available soon. Stay tuned!
